The Spark is Back

My husband said he's sees the spark back in my eyes. I would have to say the spark is back in my stamping heart also! Here are some cards I have made recently. Most of them are from sketch challenges from www.Splitcoaststampers.com.

A little love!

Here was a card that I whipped out in about 15 minutes, if that! Cards are quick and easy and so appreciated. I am truly glad I am back in the stamping mode again. I used the BigShot and a texture folder for the pink paper, the Stampin'Up! "I {Hearts} Hearts" and "Well Scripted" stamp sets, along with Melon Mambo, Cameo Coral and Purely Pomegranate Stampin'Up! Ink, and Pink Organdy and Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

New Beginnings - 2013

Hello everyone! After years of not blogging it is time! Our family has had many much needed changes, which I am sure led me back to my blog. I am once again excited about life, family, church and stamping. To add to that I now also melt glass (LOVE IT!). I will share that also on this blog.
DH has taken a call in Warner Robins, GA as a Mission Redeveloper at Faith Lutheran Church and is loving it. We get to be a part of a church that wants to grow in their faith and share it with others. How awesome is that!!
We have so many more changes that have taken place in our lives and I will share them with you little by little rather than type a whole book right now!!

What's hanging around?

Once again it's from the scanner :)
What do you have laying around that you either have not EVER used or have not used in a VERY long time? That was my challenge for myself today. The key chain clip board and the Buttons #5 Big Shot Sizzlits I have NEVER used. So it was about time!
The buttons are embossed with clear embossing powder to give them a little shine. A little faux stitching around the edge in purple and silver embossed XOXOXO LOVE.
Happy Stampin'!

Love is Blooming

Sorry the picture did not come out so well. Had to use the scanner and it doesn't like 3-D cards. This card I designed at about 12:30 a.m. while laying in bed. As we know, us Stampers do our best thinking late at night. This card uses the faux suade (paper seperating) for the flowers. On the background, it is hard to see, I used the Stampin'Up! Big Shot texture plates polka dots. I used real stitching again, told yah I was hooked. Enjoy! Don't forget you can now subscribe to my blog. Scroll down and type in your e-mail address and you will be "hooked". Happy Stampin'

Inspired by the Weather!

I made this card yesterday and the weather was the reason. I woke up and it was so nice and cool outside! I have also noticed some of our trees starting to change color.
This is a simple card only using a couple techniques, but for some reason it seemed like that was all it called for.
I hope your weather is cool and you are warm, Thinking About You!!!

A card for the hubby!

This started as a Splitcoaststampers.com sketch challenge and ended up to be a card for my husband.
For the first time I picked up a stamp set and said ok I'm going to use this and didn't change my mind. I'm really glad I did.
The background is done on watercolor paper, Classic Ink Pads and an Aqua Painter.
The main card was run through the Big Shot using a texture plate. They work good to give your card that little something it needs.
I used Black Stazon to stamp my image so I would be able to color my fisherman in a little darker.
Watercoloring is SO EASY and really gives your card so much!

I'm back and ready! Let's get into the swing of stampin'!

Sorry for being gone a while! John was called to Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Rincon, GA. So we have been moving and settling. Unfortunately stamping was set aside for all of this. Well it has gotten the better of me and it is time to get back in the swing of things. I'm back working on challenges on Splitcoaststampers.com and will be posting weekly (hopefully more oftern) to my blog. Keep a look out for my own special challenges for all of you.

I have also started a Christian Ladies Scrapping and Stamping night at our new church. I will keep you posted on how it is going and hopefully post some pictures of what everyone is making. If you would like to join us...Location: Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Date: November 19th, Time 7:00 p.m. Bring supplies if you have them and if not come anyways as there will be plenty. Hopefully this will get you into the swing of things too!

Keep checking back! I can't wait to show you some new things!!

Couple cards using the Big Shot for my Swap on Saturday!

I used the Stampin'Up! Big Shot to create both of these cards!
For the Celebrate Dress card I used the Stampin'Up! Backgrounds texture plate and the Scallops Circle #2 Die.
For the Rose Petal Card I used the Stampin'Up! Manhattan Flower Impression Embossing Folder.
I made a total of 24 of each so I should have plenty to swap, atleast I hope. It kept me busy while being laid up.
Enjoy and if you have any questions on how to make either card just e-mail me at juliebstampin@hotmail.com

I Got the BIG SHOT!!!

My Big Shot came yesterday and this is what I have already made. These will be for a stamping convention that I will hopefully be going to next weekend. The convention is StampFest in Kissimmee, FL. These will be used for trades for Make-n-takes.

They are made from Dies from Stampin'Up! using the Big Shot. If you would like to see how to make one of these boxes scroll down and find my other scallop box and click on the link. They are so much fun to make and very simple!! The embellishments on top are also made from Stampin'Up! dies. Enjoy!
