Merry Christmas!!!

Ok I have to be honest. I simply ran out of time to make enough of these to mail to everyone. So I figured I would post it with a little Christmas message.
John has wrapped up his semester and will be preaching quite a bit over the break. The girls are staying busy by visiting the museums (they are having lots of home school activities) and getting over excited about Christmas. I'm working, homeschooling, wrapping presents, and trying to stay a little sane in the process. All in all we are doing great and wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Little Cuties for the Holidays!!

How about some cute little peppermint paties!! Yum and oh so cute!
Simply use your punches to create these cute little peppermint covers. These are great for any holiday. Just think Valentine's is coming up next.

If you would like to know how to make these or need supplies to make them, please e-mail me at juliebstampin@hotmail.com

DH is approved!!!

My DH was approved to be an ordained pastor!!
We thank all of you for your prayers over the years.
NOW ONTO WHERE THE HECK ARE WE GOING?
Many of you have asked where are we going to be...
Well we don't have a clue. We should know about February what Region (hoping 9, which goes from Virginia to FL to Mississippi) we will be in.
Then we will find out in and around April what Synod (state, or states) and church they would like him to interview at.
However, something that all of you can mark on your books is...
May 15th - Graduation- this is when he will graduate from the Seminary
Ordantion is not set until he has been called to a church.

We will keep all of you posted!!
Blessings

So we are headed to FL for approval and visit family.
We ask for your prayers through this time.
Honestly my husband is starting on freekout mode and I need prayers too.

Lace All in GLITTER!!!

Is it lace or glitter?

It's BOTH!!

This is a great and easy technique!

The lace is created using sticky paper, a piece of lace and fine glitter.

The lace is laid on the sticky side of the paper, press down firmly
then sprinkle the glitter over top,
pour off excess glitter,
gently pull off lace and WALA you have glitter lace!!

I saw this and was just in aww over it so I had to share it with all of you.

Picture Perfect Flower!

This picture frame I made for my mother's birthday. Which means I actually have to trust in the mail carriers to get it there safely. This is the first frame of this type that I have done and I LOVED IT and will be doing MANY MORE!
The first thing you have to do is go buy your frame. Then trace a very light line around your matting onto your cardstock. Then it is CREATE from there. This stamp set is unfortunetly retired, however, there are some brand NEW Stampin'Up! sets that are going to be just as beautiful. The flowers on the frame are stamped in VersaMark and then embossed with silver embossing powder.

Here is a close up of the flower! The flower is stamped on black card stock, then lightly colored in using watercolor pencils. Cut the flower out, then use a cutting blade to cut out the extra black and also to cut certain parts of the flower so you can curl the petals and leaves up. I used Crystal Effects and highlighted just a couple petals and leaves, NOT ALL! Then used some micro beads in the center of the black flower as well as the flower shadow.

You can do this to and if you would like to know how just e-mail me at juliebstampin@hotmail.com

Always try a challenge! You never know what you may come up with. This is cased from the SU! Artists' Challenge. To make the card circle, fold 12x12 card stock in half, using your Coluzzle cut out the circle, leaving 1 inch at the fold uncut. Then decorate as you wish. The tied ribbon actually goes around both sides and ties the card shut.

If you would like to know more about making this card, or others I have listed on my blog, please contact me at juliebstampin@hotmail.com

Look My Hubby Made A Scrapbook Page!!!

Look my DH made a scrapbook page. He has wanted to add a page to a scrapbook that our friends made us before we left Texas. So of course being a guy he decided to make one of our visit to the brewery in Shiner Texas. I think he did an awesome job, and he was a little shocked when I told him it was going on the blog!!

Friendships Last a Lifetime

Well here is another Sneek Peek at the New Fall-Winter Idea Book and Catalog. This is the Level 2 Hostess Set. I have to say this set, which also includes and adorable bunny will be getting a lot of use. I love this set as I am able to use my watercolor pencils and a blender pen and Wallah, you see what happens. Plus it is so easy!! This card was given to a "new" friend of mine who is new to the seminary life. I thought this would give her a little pick me up and know that she has friends here in her new home.

If you would like to know about how you can earn this set of stamps for FREE, please e-mail me and I can tell you how!

Desk Pen/Accesory Holder and Note Pad Holder

Yippee I finally made one of the Office Pen Holders and Note Pad Holders!
What a great gift this will make for my DDSS...heheheheh she doesn't know she is getting it yet!
The holder is made using the cardboard coasters you find at your local dining establishment or I found my at the Shiner Bock Brewery in Texas. They were only $2.25 for a pack of 40. I was informed by my DH I can order them online also. Simply cover them in a DP of your choice, then use the Crop-A-Dile to punch three holes on one side. I punch only one side then used those three holes as a template for all the rest. So you will have a total of 6 holes, 3 and 3 across from each other. Simply tie them together with ribbon of your choice. For the bottom I covered another coaster in a solid card stock on both sides and then glue with Crystal Effects to the top portion. Then decorate as you wish.
The note pad holder is easy but I'm not giving details right now as I will be teaching this in my upcoming class. If you would like to attend one of my classes please feel free to e-mail me and I will give you dates, times, locations and supply fees. juliebstampin@hotmail.com
